What would have happened if he never asked? You would have never known that he wanted the same things as you wanted - to get married. You would not be looking for banquet halls near you, and you won’t be getting married. Right?

Give it a deep thought, and you’ll realize that it all depended on the first question - “Will you marry me?”

My friend, the questions are important, and asking the right questions at the right time is even more important. It’s your turn to ask the questions. When you visit a venue, ask the following questions to the staff at the banquet hall.

Questions to ask

1.What services are included?
Sometimes the rental fee may include all the essential amenities like chairs, tables, linen, sound systems, decorators, waiters, projectors and so on. It may also happen that none of these facilities are provided in the basic package. Don’t rely on your imagination and then probably get a big shock just a few days before your wedding. Ask about each and every service included in the rental fee. It’ll also leave a good time for you to negotiate on the additional fee, if applicable.

2. How many events are booked before and after your event?
Both are important for if there’s an event scheduled just after your wedding, you may be required to rush the ceremony to finish it on time and vacate the area. If it’s before yours, you need to see how efficient the staff of the banquet halls near you is to get the area vacated on time for your wedding.

3. Ask about the catering service
Do you want to bring in your own caterer or let the banquet hall staff set it up for you? It’s a good idea to let them do it if you don’t have any preference but inquire about their experience with catering and how reasonable their prices are.

4. Is your liquor license up to date?
Coincidentally, I am writing this post just after visiting two banquet halls near me that had expired liquor licenses. They were doing their promotions so heavily, and I totally assumed that the hall that boasted of a dedicated bar must be serving alcohol. Assumptions never bring you great results. So, if you’re planning to serve alcohol at your wedding, ask if the venue has the liquor license valid until your event date.

5. Inquire about the parking space
Trust me! You don’t want irritated guests arriving at your wedding. Not finding a parking space irks everybody. Don’t let it happen at your event.

Ask these questions to the employees of the banquet halls near you (don’t just ask the manager. A little bit of snooping around is much required before finalizing a venue. Do it and have a great wedding and happy married life.
